Women Telling Their Business

Hi Friends, on March 20th "Women Telling Their Business" will be celebrating Women's History Month and the first day of spring! The evening will feature guest speaker, Mamie Webb Hixon, Assistant Professor of English and Writing Lab Director at the University of West Florida. She will be "telling" us about the first female millionaire, Madame CJ Walker and others. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, is the sponsoring organization for the evening. They will feature women in business from their Platform One Program focus, The Non-Traditional Entrepreneur. These are women who have taken their talents, skills, and interests and turned them into a business. There will also be a special door prize given away by the Sorority's Economic Keys to Success Platform. All of this for free! Hope to see you! Also mark your calenders for March 28th. Our boutique and business tours are back! We will be visiting two area boutiques that have just relocated just in time for the Easter holiday. Let's go and check out their Easter bonnets, outfits, jewelry and more! It will be from 12-2:00. You can meet me at the Tryon library at 11:30 to carpool or meet us at the stores. More info to come!
